Ultimate Ears In-ear monitors are custom fit your ears only. The interior measurements of your ear canal are needed in order to construct our product and to adhere to the highest quality and sound fidelity. Luckily, once you make the decision to purchase your set of Ultimate Ear Pros, there are options for the proper fit.
We do recommend audiologist impressions for use on stage. You can also have 3-D scans taken by a certified E-Fit scanner, which you can find with some of our authorized dealers.

We keep all digital impressions on file. We digitally scan all physical impressions and we keep the originals on file. We do not send back impressions. After two years, we advise you to get new ear impressions for proper future fit.

You can always use your stage UE PRo in-ear monitors as high-end headphones. We also have an optional auxiliary cable with a mic so that you can use your UE’s with your phone. You can find our cables here
-
We do not recommend using just one if you have a stereo pair. You should always use both. UE makes a monitor that is built for acoustic performances and other similar needs. The UE Single Sided Stereo In-Ear may be just what you are looking for.

You may change your face plates at any time for a fee depending on artwork selection here .
Or you can order your Custom IEM with UE Switch, here. This allows you to have interchangeable faceplates on your UE custom IEM.
If you purchased through a dealer they can help you through the process. Our team is also ready to help.

The passive ambient feature allows environmental or outside noise to mix in with the music. Noise Isolation is reduced from 26dB to 12dB. This feature is designed primarily to aid professional stage musicians transitioning from traditional wedge speakers to in-ear monitors. Once an artist becomes comfortable with In–Ear Monitors, the ambient port is sealed. Less than 5% of our artists use this feature. To learn more about this feature, click here.

You can purchase from either our site or one of our Authorized UE Pro Dealers.
Our dealers are experts and have demos so you can try before you buy, and get some of your more specific questions answered face to face. Some of our dealers have 3D scanners to take your impressions. Other dealers partner with audiologists to make the process of getting your traditional impressions smoother.

No, but generally we do not recommend them for children under the age of 13. The monitors will protect the ears from loud noises at any age however, children are still developing and would need to be checked for fit regularly. Please consult an audiologist for more information.

Your ear is constantly changing in shape. We hold impressions in our system for up to 5 years. Once your impressions on file exceed 5 years, new impressions will be required. If you have impressions that meet our requirements and are less than 5 years old, they can be used to create your earphones.
Earphones made with audiologist impressions will provide you with a Pro fit.

In the world of noise cancelling earphones, outside noise is either actively or passively cancelled. Ultimate Ears Custom In-Ear Monitors have passive noise isolation, which means that they passively cancel outside noise.
Many over the ear headphones have an electrical feature that is turned on to cancel noise. In our case, however, passive noise isolation is acquired by creating a perfect seal with our in-ear molding tips. Our custom fit provides a secure, snug fit to isolate outside noise. The better the seal, the higher the reduction in outside noise. This type of fit also helps prevent people around you from hearing your music.

No, UE Pro does not re-shell monitors. UE Pro In Ear Monitors are custom made to fit an individual. Any attempt made to tamper with them will detrimentally affect sound and fit quality.
